• Question: If a car is going backwards, will its milage go backwards?

      No, I don’t think so. In fact, it’s mileage should still go up as the car is still travelling even when going backwards!

      No, it is still traveling so the mileage will still go up.

      I think they used to in the old days when the speedometer was driven by a physical wire that twisted, so the car in the classic 80’s movie (Ferris Bueller’s Day Off) could be wound back, but nowadays, they use a pulse system which does not know the wheel’s direction…
